Arms...hurt...
I ended up skipping the gym on Friday due to scheduling issues. When I went yesterday, I had the intention of doubling up the workout to account for missing Friday. This would mean 2 45 minute cardio stints, and upper body weight training. I started off with a 45 min cardio, which I stretched to almost 50 mins to get in 500 calories. Then did the upper body weight training. I added in a lower back exercise. I have a herniated disc in my lower back, and my other discs are in bad shape, so I thought it might be helpful to try to strengthen my lower back a bit. I just used the lowest possible weight for 12 reps, and then the 2nd lowest weight for another 12 reps. I'll keep it like that for awhile now until my back gets better at it. By the time this was done, I had been in the gym for nearly 2 hours, and had a tight schedule to stick to so there was no time (or energy) left to do another 45 minutes of cardio. Instead, I will go today for cardio only, instead of taking the day off like I usually do. That plus I went to Original Pancake House (only ate half a stack, but still) so...that's no good haha. I felt really motivated by week 4 photo compared to my week 2 photo, and I'm feeling better about myself. Today I was able to wear a shirt that I've avoided for several months now because my jeans make my waist blubber over and then I have about 2 shirts that are big enough to make this not noticeable. Now the waist blubber is minimal (well, I mean that in the sense that it's not giving me a muffin top) so I can wear more of my shirts, which is always a good thing. I've been living in 3 pairs of pants and 3 or 4 shirts for...the last 2 or 3 months now, no good. Soon I will be able to wear more of my closet :D
