Last week I tried on a pair of capri's I had bought 2 summers ago, during my previous attempt at weight loss. They're a size 12, which was an improvement over my previous size 14 at the time. They even got too loose, so that really a size 10 would have been better but I just threw on a belt and didn't care too much.
So as I mentioned, last week I tried these pants on again. They mostly fit. I could zip them all the way up and do the button (these are not low rise - they go alllll the way to the waist), but that would mean having a significant muffin top - no good. Instead I zipped them most the way, and wore a long shirt - bam, new pants to wear! Just now I put them on again, intending to fake my way of wearing them, when lo and behold - THEY FIT. I can zip them all the way up, do the button, no muffin top! None!! Now THAT is an improvement - in just a week! And the scale gave me good news this morning too - 178.2! Although still 34% body fat, this I do not understand, but I'll try not to fret over it. I'm really happy with the weight and the pants - especially because I had 3 pancakes this morning and yesterday morning :O But hey, that's better than stuffing in the 6 I was served in 1 shot. And I had a nice 60 calorie artichoke for dinner, which definitely helped offset it. Those things are amazing - I was full as hell by the end, and it was just delicious.
Yesterday I never made it to the gym for my cardio, sadly. However I did go in the pool both yesterday and today, and swam some laps. I'm just horrible at breathing properly when I swim, so I can't keep it up for long, but I got my heart rate up which is a plus. And anything active - ie swimming - is better than nothing, so I don't feel too bad. The intention is to go to the gym tonight for weights and cardio - though I'm not sure if I'll make it, again. My friend Melissa came out to visit this week from New Jersey and today is her birthday, so after a nice dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, we'll just have to play it by ear.
