So...ya know how BFL uses intensity levels to judge how much weight you should be using? Well, apparently I'm a HORRIBLE judge of how much intensity I'm doing. I was just like...making up sets tonight, and I was like hmm, what if I tried this thing 20 lbs higher than I've ever tried? And you know what? I could do it. 8 reps even. So then I went even higher, and I could still do 6. Now THERE'S a high intensity level! I'm not even kidding. Here's what I did, with my previous maximum (ie: this is my "really high" intensity that I can only squeak out 6 reps on) weight, and then today's weight:
- leg extensions, prev 55 lbs, today 70 lbs
- leg press, prev 55 lbs, today 100 lbs
- leg curls, prev 55 lbs, today 100 lbs
- calf extensions, prev 105 lbs, today 135 lbs
- squats, previously never tried!, today 20 lbs + weight of really heavy bar (hey, it was damn hard and I didn't really know what I was doing)
- barbell bench press, previously never tried! today weight of really heavy bar
- barbell curl, previously never tried! today 20 lbs...or 40...I couldn't really tell haha
