Great workout and nutrition today

I haven't been doing so well at eating the 6 meals a day - I can do more like 4, maybe 5. Today as of posting this, I've had 3 meals, and I'll probably only have 1 more. Even so, that's doing pretty well for me - I don't usually eat breakfast.

Today I had a great breakfast 30 minutes after I woke up, at the crack of 11:00am. I had a Nutrex Lipo 6 liquicap when I got up, and shortly after had 2 eggs scrambled, and half a whole wheat bagel with a bit of whipped cream cheese on top. The 2nd meal was a protein shake and another Nutrex Lipo 6, which I had before hitting the gym for a cardio workout, so I skipped the carbs on that meal. My 3rd meal was fabulous mesquite marinated chicken and a small potato. My next meal will probably be a protein shake or a serving of cottage cheese and a Tiger's Milk bar.

I switched up the off day this weekend, opting for Saturday off (Good Eats marathon on Food Network!) and Sunday being the last cardio workout of week 2. I did 35 minutes on the elliptical machine (5 mins warmup + 20 mins HIIT + 10 mins easier level), and 8 on the treadmill. I would have gone for longer on the treadmill, but I got that blasted side pain after just 3 minutes. I'm really confused as to why I get the side pain, and so quickly, on the treadmill, while I can go forever on the elliptical without it happening, even when I'm really pushing myself.

The HIIT kicked my ass. Seriously. I barely survived that 1 minute of level 10 intensity. But, it felt GREAT to be working that hard. I felt my stomach and abs tightening throughout a good portion of the workout, which felt good too. Again, I wasn't all that psyched about actually getting ready and going to the gym, but once I got there I felt great about it. I plan to keep the cardio workout the same as today's for the next few weeks - hoping that the HIIT will become easier while at the same levels, and that I'll conquer the treadmill side pain a bit.
