I'm thoroughly impressed with the Myotape - it's basically just measuring tape, but in a retractable container. You wrap it around, say your waist. Then you slide the end of the tape into a slot on the container, and press a button that will tighten the tape to easily take your measurement. This is exactly what I wanted to be able to track things such as waist, hip, and thigh measurements. Much easier than my previous method of using a string and then holding it up to a 12" ruler to figure out the measurements.
The digital Fattracker - now there's a disappointment. So far I've been using the body fat measurement option on my scale to track my body fat percentage, but calipers are supposed to be far more accurate. Yeah, sure - if you can figure out how to grab the skin properly. I took my skin fold measurements 4 times (3 measurement locations - triceps, stomach, thigh), and 4 times I got completely different results. Not even close to each other. Sometimes it thinks the measurement is good when I've barely touched it to my skin, and sometimes it won't take it until I've pinched my skin together to the point of pain. How this gets 100% repeatability for anyone is beyond me.
Nutrex Lipo 6 is a fat burner supplement that doubles as an energy pill because of its caffeine content. It was voted #1 fat burner and #1 energy supplement 3 years running on bodybuilding.com. Previously, I had tried another fat burner supplement and saw great results, thought I can't recall the name of it. I look forward to seeing how this one works out. I took just 1 today, because it was early afternoon by the time the package arrived (recommended dosage for the first 2 days is 1 pill in the early morning, and 1 pill in the afternoon). It made the inside of my throat feel warm about 15 minutes after taking, but that went away shortly after. It gave me a ton of energy, and made me feel great. No side affects so far. The pill is huge - I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to swallow it. It's a liquicap made from an all-vegetable source - it seemed to be more pliable than other liquicaps I've encountered, which may have helped. I got it to stay facing so that it would go straight down my throat (rather than turned sideways and getting stuck like I usually seem to do), and swallowed it with no problem. It was about 1" long. I'll post a review of Nutrex Lipo 6 after I've taken it for the recommended 8-week time period - or until I run out of them, whichever comes first.
I found some chewable vitamins today! I've been on the lookout for a chewable vitamin targeted at adults that had a fair amount of vitamins in it for some time now. It's strange how many have just 10 vitamins in them while the non-chewable has 20-30. I feel better knowing that I'll be getting a daily dose of vitamins now.
